Formed in 2004, the Slammers Maximum Jive Band embarked on a whirlwind journey, fusing a high energy mix of swinging, rocking, jump jive'n boogie into a captivating show packed with fun, excitement, and great music! Highlights so far include a studio CD on global release; live shows from London's 100 Club to Planet Music in Athens; Festival Appearances on the Southbank, at Kinsale, Derry, Cork, Bude and Aarhus Jazz Festivals, and a storming set at Warrington's BluesFest which is now available as a live CD!

The band had a great time at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, a packed house every night!

2009 proved a great year for festivals; stunning performances at the Derry Jazz Festival in Northern Ireland and Aarhus Jazz Festival in Denmark resulted in a flood of booking enquiries from near, far, and very far! Already confirmed for 2010 is the Riverboat Festival in Denmark and a return to Derry Jazz Festival in N. Ireland, as well as some great UK dates, lots of new material waiting in the wings too!
A new live recording, capturing the Slammers in concert at the Sands Venue in Gainsborough is now available on the Audio page! Recorded in April 2009, the tracks showcase the amazing big band line up featuring new frontman Duncan Moris.
